I appreciated the warm hospitality of the staff, who were genuinely friendly and attentive. The newly renovated lobby felt inviting, and the convenient room layout made it easy for me to navigate as a senior guest.
Slow elevator service could improve accessibility.

The clean, Jr Suite King Bed w/Sleeper Sofa provided a comfortable stay with a great location. The dog potty areas were a thoughtful addition for pet owners, and the continental breakfast offered a variety of options, though more protein choices would be welcome. Unfortunately, some major issues hindered the experience, such as rude staff and the condition of the room, which required cleaning upon arrival. This was disappointing given previous expectations.

Family with kids will find some positives
The staff is super friendly, especially Pam, who really made an effort to make my kid feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was solid, with biscuits, gravy, and self-made waffles that even I couldn’t resist every morning.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain but still acceptable for what we got.

I had a pleasant stay at the Shilo Inn in Salem. The room felt spacious and comfortable, perfect for my family traveling through. I appreciated the cleanliness and the great water pressure in the shower. The location is ideal with plenty of nearby dining and shopping options. However, the elevator was out of order during my stay, making it inconvenient to access our third-floor room. Parking was also limited, which could be a hassle during peak times. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the slow elevator service needs attention. Overall, the experience was good, but I hope to see improvements during my next visit.

comfortable room but missed amenities
The Jr Suite King Bed was spacious and provided good rest. Dawn, the shift manager, offered excellent service and made our stay pleasant.
The lack of on-site dining options was disappointing for our one-night stay.

The Executive Mini Suite featured ample space with two queen beds, perfect for a couple seeking comfort. The cleanliness of the room stood out, creating a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation.
The elevator was out of service during the entire stay, forcing a trek down three flights of stairs with luggage, which was anything but convenient. A significant downside was the lack of proper housekeeping, leading to an unclean shower with hair left behind. The overall feel of the location left something to be desired, as it had a somewhat uneasy atmosphere which may not sit well with everyone.

Decent Stay with Room for Improvement
We had a comfortable stay in a Jr Suite, despite some initial hiccups. The sleeper sofa was a great addition for relaxing after our long days. Enjoying breakfast at the nearby diner was a bonus that made our mornings brighter.
